The chain was made using the method found here.

because its pretty clear I’ll skip that part. The spikes are made of cork I shaved it into points. Again pretty easy. I painted the whole think black to give it a uniform look then added silver to the tips so they look freshly sharpened.

 

 

The red was supposed to be rust but it doesn’t photograph well. Shavings from the corks were added to it to give it some depth. A little green paint, very watered down so its about the consistency of lemonade, was dripped onto the chain to give a tent to some of the fux metal. A nice side not is that it will gather in low points for a cool effect.

 

 

Actually I think it worked out better then the rust red. This is only a few links long because I’ve been busy pumping the rain out of our back yard but for next Halloween I’m going to be using these chains for ball and chains, a couple of weapons and to rope areas off from tot’s.
