I'm not sure what has happened to the site, but it looks like the doctor is out for a while.  There hasn't been a contest for 7 months, and messages go unanswered.

Still, here it is.  I know some people are still out there using the tutorials and hoping to see a contest again.

I have not idea how many are left, but I thought maybe it would be productive if we had our own "contests".  We could pick an object, the same as the old contests, and use the forums to post tutorials and vote for the winners.  No prizes, I guess, but bragging rights!

Any takers?

Bruiser still here...I'm down for our own contests till things go back to normal here. id even be willing to donate a tombstone or foam skull for a prize.

Well, that's 2 out of over 200 members so far...

I still check the site now and then. I'm game if anyone starts a new contest. I'll try to enter when I can, regardless if I do or I don't  I love to see other people's imagination. There is some awesome talent out there. I'll check back later to see what's going on.

Well - I guess I will let the decayed cat out of the bag. A new contest is brewing. Was going to send out the 411 tomorrow but today will do just fine. (Will explain absence later.)

As for private contests...please freel free to conduct them as you wish! I will even be happy to provide a prize for the winner of said contest. It will be a small prize but at least a little something for your efforts.

Now, if you'll excuse me. I must get back to the Lab and work further on the new contest.

I have a question??? can you run a windsheld wiper motor off a standard car battery. just connect the wires and run it to postitive and negitive???? or is there more to it??

Hmmm - I'm not certain about that. Car batteries make me nervous. Unless, of course, they are under the hood of my car.

Well, clearly if the Doc is ready to go again, there is no need for any separate things.  I had and have no intention of trying to hijack anything, just trying to keep the site alive, which seems moot now.

This is a site owned by all it's members and I so appreciate you keeping it alive!! Seriously I think independent contests on the site are a grand idea. In fact I'm thinking it might be fun to pull a name out of hat and allow someone to choose a future SEI.

I'm confused. In you email you said, "The current contest is running from today through September 21 and voting will commence shortly thereafter as ususal." But in the "Upcoming Events" it says contest ends June 21.  So do we have several months to do this or just a few shorts weeks.

Ignore the calendar on the site WitchHazel. I have not yet updated it because it was being persnickety. You have til September 21. Going to give everyone a nice long run at this thing
